In the past I have often found myself so busy in the run up to Christmas, and then exhausted or just ‘vegetating’ until New Year. Make the most of the quite time this year to make sure you can find inspiration for 2024.
As today is Christmas Eve, this post is short but I still believe it to be important.
Even if you only manage to find a half-hour for yourself every now and again, please consider taking yourself to a space that feels quite and relaxing. If you can, light a candle and create a clear mindset.
Now relax and concentrate on the overall feeling of this year to find inspiration for 2024. What might you want to improve?
Think about:
- What is the one emotion you want to feel when you look back on next year?
- What is the main difference you would like to introduce into your life?
- What is the key element in your life you need to reduce?
I like to create a one line statement that is easy to remember and I can dip into every time I feel myself backsliding into old, automatic habits.
For me it would be:
‘I am so thrilled to have found a new group of ‘friends’ to work by focusing on life purpose.’
In my mind I am calling my clients ‘friends’ because this is how I work best, and I don’t really need to verbalise to myself that I will be driving the job search less than previously.
It is good practice to use language that indicates it has all come to pass, but if that seems ‘false’ to you change it so the statement makes you feel good.
Next Step
Don’t worry about the ‘how’ we can work through that, and if you are interested in knowing more about a small group of individuals I want to take through 2024 on a Purposeful Life journey please contact me or drop me an email to info@truecolourscoaching.com and I will send you more information.
